Engagement Session / Photoshoot {Dia de los Muertos} – San Jose / SF Bay Area Photographer

Dia de los Muertos ,[Day of the Dead], is a celebration and remembrance of the dead. More information can be found here at this website: Dia de Los Muertos.
Lanie and Ray contacted me to shoot their engagement, their wedding and a day after the wedding engagement/photo shoot, in their wedding attire dressed in costume. They held a smaller wedding for family here in San Jose for those that could not travel to their destination wedding in Cabo San Lucas. Unfortunately, I was not available to travel for their destination wedding. Here are a few images of their Dia de los Muertos – Engagement Session.

Model Session – SJ & Bay Area Fashion Photographer

I usually post here first then add images to my FaceBook page.  I did it backward this time.  This is Marissa who has modeled with me before in the “Black Rain” session a couple of years ago.  I was scheduled to shoot my niece’s Senior Portraits and I wanted to add a model in for a little more practice.  Marissa was available and I lucked out!

Here are some images from her Model Session.  Thank you Marissa for modeling for me.  🙂

This is my favorite from the series.

A little spice and all that’s nice, that’s what little girls are made of. / San Jose Bay Area Children & Teen Portrait Photographer

Little Miss A’s mom brought her in for some head shots.  Miss A is looking into modeling and/or acting and I have no doubt that modeling just may be in her future!  Thank You Laura for bringing her in. 🙂

Senior Pictures & Man’s Best Friend – SF/San Jose Bay Area Senior Portrait Photographer

Connor was another student of mine in 4th & 5th grade. When he arrived for his Senior Portraits session, I was again surprised how much he had grown. I should know by now that in 7 years they do grow up into young adults and I am constantly reminding myself that I am getting older even though I’m {mentally} 30 something stuck in this 40 something body,LOL! Anyhow, I remember his hair was longer with little blonde curls at the ends. His smile didn’t change and neither did his warm yet quiet personality. Connor, congratulations and best wishes on the next chapter of your life!

Connor has a huge love for his dog Hudson. He spends a lot of time with his buddy and it showed throughout the session. Connor was gentle and kind and you can tell through Hudson’s eyes just how much love he has for Connor too. This image just melted my heart. More of Connor will be shared soon.

Senior Pictures – Senior Portrait Photographer in the San Jose/SF Bay Area

Time is flying by so quickly. These days when I come across the young adults I used to teach back in their 4th and 5th grade year, it is {unbelievable} how much they have matured and grown!  Caroline was one such student.  Back in 4th/5th grade she was always a pleasure to have in class and always pushed herself to do her best.  Caroline always smiles and she has the most cutest dimples.

It had been a while since I last saw Caroline and when she showed up for her Senior Pictures I could not believe how much she had grown!  Caroline is a very talented actor and dancer and on top of all of her activities she is also very intelligent! Congratulations to you on your acceptance to UC Santa Barbara!

It certainly was a pleasure photographing the beautiful Caroline for her Senior Portraits!
