Engagement Session / Photoshoot {Dia de los Muertos} – San Jose / SF Bay Area Photographer

Dia de los Muertos ,[Day of the Dead], is a celebration and remembrance of the dead. More information can be found here at this website: Dia de Los Muertos.
Lanie and Ray contacted me to shoot their engagement, their wedding and a day after the wedding engagement/photo shoot, in their wedding attire dressed in costume. They held a smaller wedding for family here in San Jose for those that could not travel to their destination wedding in Cabo San Lucas. Unfortunately, I was not available to travel for their destination wedding. Here are a few images of their Dia de los Muertos – Engagement Session.

Engagement Session – San Jose & Bay Area Engagement Photographer

I recently posted an image of a Boudoir Session on Face Book that I shot in Philadelphia.  For the remainder of this week I’ll be sharing more images from the meet up: Boudoir, Engagements, Family and High School Seniors.  These meet ups are similar to taking a workshop but instead of learning from one main instructor, the entire group shares/learns from each other.   We take turns shooting each scene then use the material as part of our portfolio.  We always have a great time because everyone is so friendly and a big plus is the sightseeing.  I stayed a few days with my friend Krista, also a photographer, and  had a chance to explore a slummy area in Michigan.  You may ask why but it’s part of the history and people that I wanted to see.  I also drove through beautiful parts of Michigan but of course I didn’t have my camera out and ready.  I attended her two daughters’ softball game and took pictures for her since she is one of the coaches and never has the chance to take them.  Krista’s family is adorable and I’m so glad I had the chance to catch up with her and especially meet her family!  I’ll share pics of the game as well plus more on our trip to Philly.

So, here is an image we took in Philadelphia at Ridley Creek State Park.  Wow, I could have stayed there forever.  I guess it’s comparable to Villa Montalvo for us Bay Area folks but wow, Ridley Creek was just gorgeous!  Again, I’ll share more images this coming week but for now please enjoy this image of Erin and Caleb.  Thank you for modeling for us!

…in case you missed the image I posted on Face Book here is the Boudoir image as well.
