Kendall is my new assistant in the studio and I can’t say enough how much she has helped me. She is a quick learner, always has a smile on her face and is great at researching “How To’s” for me!
Kendall Ratzliff, Assistant to Charlene Chavez, is a California State University Sacramento alumna with a passion for Journalism and helping others.
In college, Kendall studied Journalism and Philosophy before moving back to her home town of San Jose where she began work as a Personal Assistant while attaining her certification from the Police Academy [P.O.S.T.] as a Public Safety Dispatcher. After working for two years in Personal Assisting, Kendall began her work for Charlene Chavez Photography. “I truly enjoy creating a once in a lifetime experience for clients while helping small business owners reach their fullest potential,” says Kendall.
In her leisure, Kendall enjoys researching various aspects of 9-1-1 technology, spending time with her family, and developing her “Gluten Free Me” blog.

In late January I attended the SPA 2011 Convention in Palm Springs, California where hundreds of photographers met to share ideas and learn from one another. We stayed at the Riviera Hotel as well as photographed the Top Models there and what beautiful decor and backdrops we had!!! I will share some images soon but what an incredible experience not only for us photographers but for the High School Senior Models who each represented photography studios from all over the United States and other parts of the world! Every year High School Seniors who become Senior Models for photography studios have a chance to win a trip to the SPA Conventions. They are photographed by photographers from around the world, treated like Movie Stars, they “Walk the Walk” in the Top Model SPA Fashion Show, see below, and AIG Model Managementis present at the SPA Convention. At this year’s SPA 2011 Convention, two high school seniors signed on with AIG Model Management, see video below of Ricardo and Kristen. Way to go!!!

Mid-January I traveled to New Orleans and Texas and last month to Palm Springs for photography meet-ups and conventions. Upon returning, I decided to add High School Senior Destination Sessions to my repertoire. Next on the travel list will be San Francisco, although SF is not a destination from us locals, it will surely be a beautiful place to begin your High School Senior Session. I also see Vegas on the list this year too!
