The purpose of SILICON VALLEY CARES is to raise funds for non-profit agencies and organizations, which benefit children, teens, homelessness, as well as funding crisis situations within Santa Clara County. Our goal is to raise these funds while bringing the community together for socializing, entertainment, and compassionate involvement with non-profit agencies and organizations in. Through our events, Silicon Valley Cares hopes to provide organizations and individuals the help they need to overcome obstacles and thrive.

The numbers came in last night and we raised a little over 12K. A HUGE, HUGE {THANK YOU} to Tracy Cressio for her awesome idea! A couple of years ago she envisioned a fundraiser at The Rack with several bands playing, people dancing, a silent auction as well as a live auction and she and a team of people pulled it off. Tracy has always been a go-getter and I’m glad she is on my Relay For Life team, Team Charlie’s Angels. Andy Buchanan of The Saddle Rack has already invited us back for the 3rd Rockin The Rack Fundraiser. Thank you Andy for allowing us to have this huge and fun event at The Saddle Rack!!! Woot, Woot Woot!!!!

Everyone is invited to one of the most entertaining caner fundraiser’s! Last year we made close to $9K and are hoping to reach well over $10K at our next event coming this February. We can’t do it without you so if you will please consider attending our event and if you cannot make it, please consider a donation to our Cancer Fundraiser!
I want to thank Tracy Cressio of Old School Rock and Roll, who is also a member of my team, Team Charlie’s Angels, who had this vision a few years back and with the help of so many people pulling together to help her vision come true it did! Last year we had Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Experience as our main entertainer and we had a line up of some other fabulous bands as well.

I’d like to start off by telling you how wonderful the staff at The Studio by Angi is! At every one of my visits there has been someone who greeted me with a smile at the door AND actually assisted me with what I was looking for. It’s like having a personal shopper! Yesterday I witnessed a handful of their staff helping a family in need. They opened their {Hearts} by offering free services and many other items for their home, one such item being a sofa, and the family walked out with a bag full of salon goodies! It really touched my heart and last year a couple of staff members rearranged their schedule to help me out with hair and make-up by offering their services for free with the Help Portrait campaign. It’s always a great shopping experience for me and because they carry so many items such as jewelry, handbags, home decor, sweaters and jackets, I can guarantee you will walk out with an armful of gifts. This holiday season, visiting The Studio by Angi is a must for your hair and make-up service, skin care, gifts for the holidays or if you need help with styling ideas because the staff will be there for you with awesome good old fashioned customer service with a smile. 
The 12 days of Giving is just another way to thank our customers and my way to give a little shout out to the small business owners I do business with. With holiday shopping in full force this this is one less gift you will need to purchase making it a lot easier for you shop from the comfort of your own home. A huge thank you to Tracy Cressio of Old School Rock-N-Roll for organizing this fundraiser & to Andy Buchanan for allowing us to Rock at The Rack and for the HUGE donation from The Rack as well! Also, everyone behind the scenes who had part in this from the staff at The Saddle Rack, the 5 bands who performed for free: Tennessee River, Old School Rock-N-Roll, Chrome Deluxe Band, California Blues Machine & Cornerstone House Band, Ira of Charity Works, the Relay For Life members who helped with the raffle, silent auction & piggy sales and to friends & family who showed up to help support our event. What a night!!!
100% of all sales from tickets, raffles, t-shirts & cd’s went directly to The American Cancer Society and a percentage of the silent auction items from Charity Works. We raised just under 10K from this event!!!

Please join me on Sunday, February 19th @5:30pm at The Saddle Rack. There will be 5 bands donating their time to entertain us and the cost is only $20 if you purchase a ticket from me, $25 on-line or $30 at the door. All ticket sales will go directly to The American Cancer Society.
Each ticket you purchase gets you a raffle for a chance to win a signed Joe Pavelski Sharks Jersey!!! If you can’t make the event, consider donating $20 for the raffle ticket. Who knows, you just may be the lucky person to be sporting the brand spankin new signed Pavelski Sharks Jersey. Good Luck!!!
