2012 Leadville Trail 100 I Event & Sport Destination Photographer

We photographers tend to put our own work on the back burner. I am working my way backward as well but this event happened back in mid-August 2012. For more information on this 100 mile bike race in Leadville, Colorado click link here 2012 Leadville Trail 100. I’m so very proud of Mike & the crew who took on this vigorous race, some first timers too! The crew was sponsored by Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield.
Congratulations to Mike, the crew and all racers for their dedication to year long training! If you ever get the chance to visit Leadville, Colorado you won’t be disappointed. It’s also the highest city in the United States at an elevation of 10,152. Try riding your bike through the mountains at that altitude!

I finally spotted Mike at the beginning of the race.

A few members of the crew.

After Mike finished Ken came over to congratulate Mike.

2010 Leland Baseball Champions – San Jose Sport Photographer

We finally had our team party last night and it was a bitter sweet moment. A few weeks have passed since we saw the boys together and seeing them now they’ve grown into men, most of them ready to be sent off to college. Looking back over 8 years ago, I remember most of them hanging out at the field eating popsicles and shooting eachother with squirt guns to cool themselves off after practice. Last night they played pranks on each other and the coach fell for the “egg” prank too! It was hilarious!!!

We had good reasons to celebrate last night not only because the boys took the League Championship this year and advanced to two games in CCS but because many of the boys were awarded with ALL LEAGUE TITLES, such as first and second teams and HONORABLE MENTIONS. All boys will move on to college and in addition to that, the teams combined GPA average was an impressive 3.5-ish. Congrats boys!!!

Back to the CCS games: the first game against Los Gatos was a win, 12-4, I believe, and then a close game with Palo Alto, a 4-3 loss, which really surprised the heck out of them(not us the Palo Alto boys). We truly gave them a run for their money and had them shakin in their boots!…er cleats.

Congratulations boys and coaches we will always remember this season and what a great group of talented palyers they were!

Leland Baseball vs Westmont – San Jose Photographer

I used a different lens to take these set of pictures. The lens gives the images a perspective as if you are standing above the subject looking down and they are tiny. The last two images of Trevor and Gabe really show the effect more so than the others. Enjoy!
