Lindsay Adler / Lou Freeman SF Workshop – San Jose Fashion Photographer

I recently took a workshop a from well known commercial and fashion photographers Lindsay Adler & Lou Freeman in San Francisco. Each year I pick a couple of workshops to attend and what drew me to this workshop was their work! Lucky enough for me it was only in San Francisco so I didn’t have to travel very far. I am fortunate enough to have several talented photography friends that we end up meeting somewhere and teach each other or brush up on skills. Next month I will be traveling to Philly to meet up with Kylene Cleaver of Leave It to Me Photography as well as a handful of other photography friends. We will be working on boudoir, high school seniors using OCF, (off camera flash), engagements, light room software and family sessions just to name a few. It’s exciting to travel to areas I’ve never been and it’s great to watch people work and learn about what sparks their creativity.

Ok, back to the workshop. Lindsay’s and Lou’s workshop was a great studio lighting workshop. Lindsay’s approach to lighting is easier to remember while Lou’s set up is quite technical and she has been known to use 16+ lights in her set up! What ever approach they take they definitely create beautiful images. Take a look at their websites if you get the chance.

Below are a few images I took while attending the workshop. Although I can’t take credit for setting up the studio lighting for these images, I did create and edit them myself in photoshop.
This is model Arielle. More images coming soon, enjoy!
